Wine 1: Monemvasia Red Blend Volte Greece
80% Aghiorgitiko, 20% Mavroudi • grapes are destemmed and co-fermented in tank with a short, gentle maceration. ‘Voltes’, Greek for ‘strolls’, refers to the twisting mountain pathways leading to the upper citadel of Monemvasia. Deep ruby red in color. Aromas and flavors of red fruits, sweet spices, well-structured with balanced acidity, soft tannins, and a pleasant finish. Pairs perfectly with red meat dishes, pasta with red sauces, and yellow cheeses.
Wine 2: Monemvasia White Blend Volte Greece
70% Roditis, 30% Moscofilero • Fermented in temperature-controlled stainless steel and then it sees a short 3-month elevage on the fine lees in tank. Light yellow color, aromas of freshly cut flowers, green apple, stone fruits, a smooth mouth-feel, pleasant acidity and finish. Pairs well with salads, yellow cheeses, pasta dishes with white sauces
