Discovery Red / White

Wine 1: Borsao Cabriola Red

A beautiful blend of Garnacha, Syrah and Mazuela from low yielding vineyards of different ages and altitudes in the Campo de Borja appellation in Spain. The so-called "Empire of Garnacha", Campo de Borja is a wine region whose flagship grape is grown at a range of altitudes here, in the foothills of the Pyrenees. Aged for 12 months in French oak barrels and another 12 months in bottle. Elegant ruby and garnet background. Aromas of fresh red fruits, some ripe fruit and subtle hints of wood. Sweet tannins and long, intense and very balanced aftertaste. Pair with red meat or a charcuterie board.

Wine 2: Kitz Sauvignon Blanc

Kitz is a young, drinkable white cuvée produced by the Rottensteiner south tyrol winery, inspired by the German word for the ibex puppy, according to the heraldic iconography of the estate. A blend of Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Blanc, Pinot Gris, Chardonnay. This is a wine with fruity aromas and a soft taste, born to be enjoyed pleasantly in company, for an aperitif or dinner.

Founded in 1956, Hans’ focus was selling open wines from the winery to Switzerland. In the 1980’s, his son Toni changed over to marketing bottled wines, and since 2001 he has been supported by his grandson Hannes. Not only have the grapes from the family’s 10 hectares  been processed from the onset, but also that of 50 regional grape growers  as well. This close cooperation has extended for generations and is essentially responsible for the excellent quality of the wines.
