Wine 1: Groundwork Cabernet Sauvignon
100% Cabernet Sauvignon from Paso Robles. We night harvested nine tons of Cabernet Sauvignon on September 19th from the Creston area of Paso Robes and an additional nine tons of Cab on October 21st from the Estrella River zone. The clay loam terraces of the Creston site sit at 1,400 ft. elevation with an average daily diurnal swing of 35 F. This fruit contributes pure expressions of blackberry, blueberry, and currant to the wine. The dry river bed soils of the Estrella Sub AVA are a mix of sandy and clay loam resulting in notes of cassis, sweet herb, and black tea leaf.

Wine 2: Filadoro Fiano di Avellino
Fiano di Avellino DOCG is an appellation for white wine, located in the Avellino province within the Campania region. It is regarded as the finest expression of the white Fiano grape. Along with Greco di Tufo it is one of Italy’s very best white wine designations.
Located in the very heart of Campania and about an hour’s drive east from Napoli, Avellino is a hilly and rustic wine region. It is almost overshadowed by all of the other great wine regions in the hills above Naples and it certainly has to compete for attention among wine drinkers and tourists.
Pear headlines the nose, with notes of ripe melon and orange rounding out the ripe nature. On the palate, the melon moves into primary position, with more savory flavors of almond, hazelnut and cheese providing balance. Rich and enjoyable.
