Jolie Laide Melon de Bourgogne
100% Melon de Bourgogne from the Chalone vineyard. The Melon hails from the decomposed granite and limestone soils of the Chalone appellation, on a high elevation south-facing site planted in 1985. The fruit was harvested overnight when the temperatures are coolest, and whole cluster pressed to a combination of concrete eggs and stainless steel for fermentation. The wine was aged on the lees before bottling.
Clean and bright, with notes of peach, apricot and quince. Floral notes and a bright, juicy finish.
