Meza Wine Club: June 2026
Natural White White
Wine 1: L’Archetipo Salento Fiano
L’Archetipo Fiano Salento is a 100% Fiano Minutolo white wine from the Salento region of Puglia, Italy, made under the IGT Salento designation. It is crafted by the family-run winery L’Archetipo in Castellaneta, Tarento, following synergistic agriculture principles inspired by Masanobu Fukuoka’s “do-nothing farming” philosophy. Pear, apple, citrus (lemon, lime), white flowers (jasmine, honeysuckle), hay, flint, subtle honey, and sometimes toasted hazelnut on the nose. Dry, light-to-medium body, fresh and vibrant, with citrus acidity and mineral finish. Smooth, with a slight oily or creamy mouthfeel from lees contact.
Wine 2: Bordenave, Les Copains d'accord mais Les Filles d'Abord
Variety: Camaralet, Petit Manseng, Gros Manseng
Bordenave, one of the oldest winemaking properties in the heart of the appellation Jurançon has existed since 1676. It was passed down from father to son, and now to daughter. Gisèle Bordenave brings her convivial personality to the wines, while honoring the traditions of her lineage. The Bordenave clan has been making wine for familial consumption for hundreds of years, but the estate did not release its first vintage to market until 1993! A greatly needed upgrade to their cellar allowed them to increase production enough to turn a profit. Growing just native varietals, the domaine is a beacon of tradition passed down for generations.
This line of wines is meant for sharing and quaffing! Les Copains d'accord mais Les Filles d'Abord roughly translates to “friends okay but girls first”, which says it all. Organically grown Camaralet, Petit Manseng and Gros Manseng are stainless steel vat-fermented on the lees. Aged in stainless tanks on fine lees for texture.
